Biography

Alexander Richter is the Founder of ThinkGeoEnergy, the leading independent global platform covering geothermal energy news, market intelligence and industry insights. Over more than two decades, he has worked across renewable energy, international business development and strategic advisory, supporting companies, governments, financial institutions and multilateral organisations in navigating the rapidly evolving geothermal sector.

Prior to founding ThinkGeoEnergy, Alexander held senior leadership roles including Head of Business Development at Innargi, Managing Director of the Iceland Renewable Energy Cluster, and President of the International Geothermal Association. He is a frequent moderator and keynote speaker at international conferences, where he contributes to discussions on geothermal markets, investment, policy, innovation and the role of geothermal energy in the global energy transition.
